Elan Gordon, Principal
Elan K. Gordon is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania with a focus in Economics, Real Estate & Urban Studies. He has spent 16 years as an acquisition and asset management specialist acquiring over $2.7B of commercial real estate on the principal side. Elan has a reputation as a reliable investment analyst, able to quickly aggregate information into relevant decision-making investment metrics. He provides meticulous attention to detail, identifying untapped value, driving increased cash flow and maximizing profits. During his time in Texas he has closed over $500MM of value-add multifamily acquisitions.
Meredith Cohen, Principal
Meredith Cohen is the owner of Nexus Real Estate and Ava’s Construction and is President of Shir Capital. Meredith holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Pittsburgh School of Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from the Katz School of Business at Pitt. Meredith is a licensed Real Estate Broker in both Pennsylvania and Texas. Meredith’s construction company has been involved in new construction of both commercial and residential properties with its core focus being multi-million-dollar multifamily renovation projects. Meredith also owns and operates Austin Market Real Estate & Nexus Brokerage, two full service, residential and commercial licensed real estate brokerages offering Buyer representation, listing services as well as fee based property management services specializing in vacation home, retail and residential properties with its niche focus in multi-family properties.
Ryan Richins, Director of Accounting
Ryan Richins grew up in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania but now calls Austin, TX home. He attended Arizona State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business and communications. Following college, Ryan went into tax preparation working on both personal and corporate taxes. Ryan’s experience made it an easy transition to corporate accounting where he has been for the last 7 years. During his accounting career, Ryan obtained his Enrolled Agent credential through the Internal Revenue Service, along with a master’s degree from Grand Canyon University.
Parth Vaidya, Director of Asset Management
Parth grew up in India where got his Bachelors in Finance from University of Mumbai. He worked at a Private Equity fund in India where he extensively used his analytical skills and data mining techniques for FP&A. Parth moved to the US in 2015 got his Master’s degree in Management Science from Dallas Baptist university where he also served as the Vice President for the Asian Student Organization, spreading awareness and diversity among other students to help increase cultural literacy in the student community. After completing the graduate program, Parth began working for SHIR Capital as an Acquisition Analyst, and currently serves as the Director of Asset Management. Parth’s focus here at SHIR Capital has been to identify additional revenue generating avenues, ensure timely stabilization of assets and create scalable systems as we grow. Parth is responsible for execution of strategic business plans for each owned property with a focus on achieving cash flow yields, occupancy and leasing, which exceed investment objectives, as well as identifying new acquisitions and dispositions. Parth has helped manage over $150M in Assets during his time at SHIR Capital. Aside from his passion for identifying and evaluating opportunities to generate profits, Parth can often be found hiking various trails in the Travis County and hunting down great food.
Denzel Myers, Asset Management
Denzel Myers attended Colorado State University where he received a Business Degree with a concentration in finance. Denzel's role at SHIR Capital has been to underwrite potential acquisitions, ensure timely and accurate reporting to our investors and lenders, work with the management team to ensure property performance and competitiveness in the marketplace.
